Black Spanish Grape
The Black Spanish is a wine grape that is very diease-resistant and produces a grape that is prized for red wine. Black Spanish was developed in North America in the early 1700's and was imported to France in the mid-1700's for vineyards there. It is resistant to diseases that commonly occur in the southern vineyards. Ripens in August or September. Probably the best grapevine for the south. Great for jellies, jams, juice, and wine. No pollinator needed. Zones 7-10.
