Product Details

Loquat trees, also called Japanese medlar or Chinese plums, are native to Asia but they thrive in the heat and humidity of the South. The fruits are on the trees from autumn throughout the winter. The fruits are flavorful and have a taste similar to a combination of peach and mild citrus. The trees can grow to a height of 20 feet, but are usually smaller. They are prolific, regular producers and the trees will live for many years. Loquat has been cultivated in Asia for over 1000 years. It does not perform well north of USDA zone 7, with best production in USDA zones 8-10.

These trees are 2-3' tall and will be shipped with soil around the roots.
