Product Details

Southern crabapple (Malus augustifolia) is a tree native to wet, moist soils in the southeastern U.S. It has showy spring blooms, and grows to 20-25 feet in height. The crabapples themselves are sour and are sometimes used for cider and jams. They are loved by all manner of wildlife, including foxes, deer, rabbits, grouse, and more. Southern crabapple is a perfect plant for permaculture. These trees are 18-24" in height. (Image courtesy of Auburn University. Used with permission.)
