The 20th Century Asian pear is the most popular Asian pear with our customers. The fruit is medium-sized, crispy, and juicy. Easy to grow. Ripens in mid-August. Self-fertile, although does better with other pear cultivar for pollination (such as Chojuro, Bartlett, Keiffer, Shinseiki). Heat tolerant. 350-400 chill hours. Zones 5-9.
