Almond Trees
We have almond trees! Native to the Middle East, almond trees are prized for the quality, tasty nuts they produce. Almonds are a well-known health food, and grow great in much of the southern half of the US. The almond has been grown since biblical times, and is easy to grow for the home gardener. Almonds need a pollinator, and it is best to plant two varieties in the same general area. Almond trees have beautiful spring blooms, and the nuts are ripe 6-7 months after blooming (usually in October). Almond trees are exceptionally drought tolerant once established. Our trees should produce in about 3 years. The rootstock is Nemaguard. Here is our selection of almond trees:
