Product Details

The Chinese chestnut (Castanea mollissima) is often grown as a substitute for the American chestnut. It's been cultivated for thousands of years, and produces large, tasty, edible nuts. The tree is tolerant of a variety of soils and climates. The tree is long-lived and provides shade and excellent fall color in addition to the nuts. Grows best in USDA zones 5-9. For best production, plant at least two trees.
