The Ein Shemer apple was developed in Israel and is an extremely low chill variety. The Ein Shemer apple is self fertile! It is highly productive, and a vigorous grower. Flesh is tart, sweet, and crisp. Acts as a pollinator for Anna and Dorsett, and may be more productive with those varieties. Apples are medium sized. Ein Shemer can actually bear fruit in areas with no frost, as long as there is a long period of time below 45 degrees F! 200 chill hours; USDA Zones 7-10.
