The Moorpark apricot is a relatively low maintenance, vigorous tree. It needs a moderate amount of water once established, and it can grow in sandy or clay soil. Moorpark is not an excellent canning apricot, but it's great fresh from the tree, or dried. 800 chill hours. Flourishes in Zones 4-8.
