The Orient pear is a European variety that produces round-shaped pears similar in shape to Asian pears (thus the name). Orient pears have yellow skin with smooth textured, sweet, firm, juicy, white flesh. Fireblight resistant. Heavy producer and vigorous tree. Does best with Keiffer, Bartlett, or Moonglow as a pollinator. 300 chill hours. Zones 5-9.
