The Pineapple pear is a tart-sweet pear that grows on a vigorous, productive tree. Pineapple pears are green, with some brown coloring. Heat resistant. Produces best with another pear tree nearby for pollination (such as Ayers, Bartlett, Kieffer, Orient, wild pear). 200 chill hours. Zones 5-9.
