The Shinko Asian pear is a late ripening fruit, ripening in mid to late September. Fruit is excellent quality. Juicy, sweet, flavorful, refreshing, and crisp like an apple. Stores well. Attractive fruit 450 chill hours. Disease and heat resistant. Zones 4-9. Pollinate with another pear such as Shinseiki, Korean Giant, Hosui and Chojuro.
