The Tex-Prince peach is an excellent commercial variety for places with minimal winter cooling, such as south Texas, central Florida, southern Georgia, and similar areas. Ripening mid-season, Tex-Prince is a large, red freestone peach with firm, yellow flesh. Introduced by Texas A&M. 500 chill hours. Does best in zones 8 and 9, but is hardy to Zone 6.
